Who Really Created the Marvel Universe?
It is impossible to create a comic alone, let alone a fictional universe. This raised the question of whether Stan Lee created the Marvel universe alone. Or did he have help from other creators? Let us explore the answer to that question.
Stan Lee was not alone in creating the Marvel Universe
In all honesty, Stan Lee did not create the Marvel universe alone. A comic book requires a creative team to function. The Marvel superheroes are company-owned. Therefore, the creative team working behind those Marvel characters changed over time, and you can imagine how many teams Stan Lee had to work alongside.
There is another name that deserves attention, similar to Stan Lee in the creation of the Marvel universe. That name is Jack Kirby. Jack Kirby was a very influential and innovative creative member of the Marvel team who created Thor, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men.
And another honorable mention is Steve Ditko, who co-created Doctor Strange and Spider-man.
Stan Lee’s dialogues and plot ideas are what shaped the Marvel universe
While Stan Lee worked in the Marvel creative team, he never created a single Marvel comic alone. But that does not mean he was putting in less effort. Stanley’s talent shined when he worked on perfecting the plot of the Marvel stories.
Adding new story sequences, finding the perfect dialogue for the panels, and writing scripts are things that Stanley did to make the Marvel comics very popular among children, old teens, and other readers around the world.
In addition, Stan-lee was also responsible for introducing many popular Marvel characters like Black Panther, Ant-man, Avengers, Cyclops, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Ancient one, and the list goes on.
In all sense, the Marvel universe is not Stanley’s work alone. There are other creators like Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko involved.
